In the dark house, Ella sat on the sofa with an empty look in her eyes. The surrounded houses lit their porch lights and golden lights peeked through their curtains. Only the Alpha's house was still dark.
Ella was dropped off at home yesterday in the evening. She came back to an empty house, dark and lonely. She didn't think much of it at the time. Guessing that Raymond had to attend to work immediately, he didn't even have the time to receive her.
But it had been an entire day and he still wasn't back. Raymond didn't come back home last night, not in the following morning and not in the evening after that.
