Katrina  I hated the night. For the first time, a bed wasn't a welcome reprieve. Instead, I was alone with the feelings I tried so desperately to ignore. I could barely sleep, which meant hours alone with my thoughts. My exhaustion was no competition for my horrors. When the endless darkness finally edged toward gray, I didn't know if I had really slept, but I was thankful that another night passed. I threw off the sheets and wandered around my room.
