New York, United States – December 10th, 2020 It’s the seventh time I enter the room in the studio where the self-defense class is being held. Somehow, this feels like my new normal; finishing work, getting to the studio (by car), changing into my training gear, then two hours filled with every possible scenario of me being attacked from all sides. It’s tiring, and it feels like a full workout. I had the worst muscle fever after the second lesson, but I couldn’t back down.
