“Are yous sure you can do this?”
Liam asked Ember for the third time. He’s not entirely convinced that Ember is already fit to go to Devonlaire.
Ember took the passenger’s seat while Liam slid into the driver’s seat. The Council of Claws had Ember summoned to Devonlaire. The Lycan King wanted to personally talk to Ember about her experience while she was captured by the hunters, something Liam was opposed to.
Ember gave Liam a tight smile as she buckled up. She propped herself towards Liam who was starting to revive the engine.
“You worry too much, Alpha. Have you forgotten that I defeated a whole army of hunters and find my way back to Bresmont?” There was an edge of pride in her voice. “Standing in front of the council and the King will not have me budge.”
