Liam had no other choice but to appoint his brother, Kean, as temporary Beta of the Pack. He needed to take action. For the first time after so many months that he felt like he was not himself, Liam finally could think straight. He was himself finally. The confusion was totally gone. Then he remembered Ember, and suddenly his heart ached for what happened to her. He did that to her, and considering that she was pregnant with his child. His heart couldn't shake the excitement and dread knowing that she was carrying his heir.
