“Alpha Liam.” Ember’s voice reverberated inside the infirmary. She had to call him several times in an even louder voice just to get his attention.
She noticed that the alpha was not himself. He was just staring blankly at the patient lying unconscious on the bed.
Ember waved her hand in front of Liam’s face, trying to get the attention back to her. Liam blinked his eyes. Confusion was written all over his handsome face, as if he had just gotten out of a trance. “Liam? Are you all right?” Ember was worried. She had not seen the Alpha this bothered, and he was really spaced out.
Ember glanced at Aron. He just shrugged his shoulder. The Beta didn’t know what happened, either. Inching closer to the alpha, he tapped his shoulders hard, awakening him from his trance-like state.
