“To tell me he knows Vinnie has been giving him false information and screwing with him a lot. He demoted him and is sending him back to Italy. It seems Vinnie told Cap that he asked the guys the best way to win me over and then gave him all the opposite information. He wants me to move back to New York. I declined.”
“You’re crying.” He stared at her with narrowed eyes.
“I’m frustrated.” She shrugged. “What are you doing here?”
“I wanted to check on you before I headed to bed.”
