Things felt relatively normal after the first three and a half months had passed. Blythe held true to her word, calling at least three times a week and at most five. When she called I would put her on speaker if Terrence was home so we could both enjoy the sound of her voice on the other end of the phone. When she arrived home for Christmas break I didn't think I had ever seen him so excited even on our wedding day. Then again, I reasoned, him and I had never spent a long period of time apart.
