Marcelo drove her back to New York, along with several cars following them from behind — truly, it was troublesome. She wasn't used to having guards following her everywhere she went like that and, unfortunately, Cassius wouldn't let her go if she went alone.
Along the way, she could only see a tree that was standing tall and not a bit of sunlight managed to enter through it. Everything around her was terrifying, darkness surrounding them at every corner and there seemed to be something that was watching her.
“Is this place really designed like this so that someone wouldn't dare to enter it?” she asked as she glanced at the window, while Marcelo then glanced at her from the center window with both piercing eyes but a warm smile. “Did you also feel something strange?”
