Colonel Bingham was in his office, standing close to his window, with a cup of hot coffee in his right hand, staring out at the cars and pedestrians moving around and going about their daily activities. He envied them for their 'ordinary' lives sometimes. He sometimes wonders how his life would have turned out had he chosen a different career.
