Tamia waited until Brianna was conked out in her bed before looking at the purple velvet wrapped around the items left for her. Picking it up, Tamia ran a hand over the smooth material and found it had not a speck of dirt on it. Unwrapping it slowly, Tamia found a little short book that was as thick as a bible.
Next to it, a stack of cards she’d seen her grandma with, and even crazier a purple orb. No bigger than a quarter, the orb seemed to almost vanish. Tamia stared at the three items knowing this meant her grandma had been like her. And even better, had left her way to control it.
Picking up the book, Tamia found inside a letter.
