"Are you okay?"
Femella turned to me from staring out of the car. She looked so distracted. She smiled at me without the usual glow and fierceness in her eyes.
"Yeah, I'm okay. Don't worry."
I returned my focus to the road.
"Where will I drop you off? Will you go back to your apartment first?"
I had noticed her strange silence earlier while we were at home and having breakfast. She is not responding to my questions which is making me worry. I tried to put on a conversation but she didn't seem to be buying it. She will just answer me with a small smile and a shrug. I wonder what went wrong.
Did she change her mind? I gripped the steering wheel and squeezed my teeth at the thought.
No way in hell I'm going to let her go. I've already decided to explore this new terrain I've discove
