Gregory was a Goldmoor native who started playing the piano at the age of four. At the age of twenty-one, he went abroad to perform and achieved great success, eventually settling down overseas. This was his first visit back to his homeland after twenty-five years, and he chose to hold his first solo concert in his hometown. Gregory seemed destined for the piano, as it sang poetically with its unique sound in his fingertips. His playing always had a romantic quality, distinct and charming.
