I stopped and looked at Mad, he pointed to his ear telling us to listen. It was too faint, the sound. More like a scratch somewhere on the floor or wall. “There’s someone here.” I said, keeping my voice low.
We continued to move through the corridor. There were several windows, shuttered with cardboards. We emerged in a hall, it was small considering the size of the house, and it was empty. Looking at each other, we simultaneously made our way in different directions to see if we’ll find anything.
