BRANDON “What’s going on?” I walked into the kitchen to find my angel crying with fat tears rolling down her cheeks and her big blue eyes rimmed red as she sat there on the floor with empty ice cream tubs around her, and a mess that will take an hour to clean up. Alice looked up at me, her bottom lip trembling as she sobbed, “Daddy!” I crouched down in front of her and held out my hand. “Come on, stand up.” “No.” Her eyes widened as she looked over my shoulder from where that voice came. My queen appeared by my side and with her hand on her waist, she regarded the mess our little angel had made. She said, “She won’t go anywhere until she cleans all of this.
