“Alex!!” I screamed, just as the dark silhouette pulled itself apart from the shadows, with a gun in his hand.
Alex’s surprised green eyes looked at me in question only for a fraction of a second before he turned around and faced the man. Coming face to face with the gun, too. The black eyes were lost in the black ski mask, giving the man an illusion of a demon with soulless eyes. I sat up in fright, only for Alex to bark at me. “Stay the f**k where you are.” The cold bite in his words caught me by surprise after how warm he was just a moment ago. But I stilled, considering I was totally naked to the stranger’s eyes except the cover Alex’s body was providing me.
“Move.” The man said, waving the gun. “I just want the girl.”
