Elyandre’s POV
While it is not snowing, I grab my jacket and my sleigh, and I go out. I'm going back to the SUV. I wipe my forehead dramatically. I have to find out who this man is. I have to find out if he has a family waiting for him for Christmas. His family will be worried, and I have literally kidnapped him. Okay… actually, I was trying to help him, not that he had a choice. I did not give him much of a choice when he was injured. To my defence, I had to get him out of the cold, and he was badly injured. But come to think of it, I did kidnap him. I should have called the authorities and let them take care of him, or maybe even called an ambulance, but I was not thinking straight. All I knew was that I had to help him. However, now that I think about it, I really did kidnap him. I took him to my house and gave him no choice. I should have asked him if I should call the police or the ambulance, or something. I was really not thinking straight.
Now he’s my problem. I cannot allow him to go out of my house until I know who he is or if he is a criminal or not. He does not know who he is. Everything is a little bit confusing. However, I am not going to give up. I’m going to find out who he is and return him to his family. What if his family wanted to kill him because of his money? I should become a writer. I have an imagination so big that I am scaring myself. First, I was thinking that he had an affair with another woman, and her husband went after him to shoot him. That is what rich people do. Now I am thinking that maybe his family wants his money, and they are trying to kill him. Well, he is a mystery, and I will have to solve this mystery until he can remember who he is or what he has done. I will just have to put my imagination on hold. I cannot let my imagination run away with me.
Ever since I was a child, I made up stories about having a wonderful life with caring parents who loved me as much as they loved my sister. I was always the ugly duckling, and my sister was the beautiful princess. I always imagined myself growing up and being more successful and beautiful than her, but that didn’t happen. I was the businesswoman while she was traveling the world as a model. I was still looking after my family while she was enjoying her life. Oh well, I cannot think about that right now. I have to get back to that SUV.
The man is so damn hot. I don’t know how they could allow him to go out by himself. If I were his wife, I would have been staying by his side all day and night, never letting him out of my sight. Anyway, I think he was drunk because he even called me beautiful. I see the SUV standing where it was. I walk closer, but then I see men in black suits standing close to the vehicle. They look like FBI agents. I’m not going close to them. I want to turn around and go back home, but it is too late because they have already seen me. One of the men, who is wearing dark glasses in the snow, comes walking toward me. Oh no. I really don’t want to get into his business. I will just have to play innocent. I pull my sleigh and pretend to look curiously at the SUV in the ditch.
"Hello. What happened here? Somebody went off the road. The driver must be from the city because everybody knows you don’t drive in this snow, not with those wheels," I say as the guy approaches me.
"Yes, it seems like somebody went off the road. Have you seen a man in a very expensive black suit, maybe? He might be injured," the man in the suit asks.
"Nope. It has been snowing heavily. I just waited for a break in the snowstorm so I could go to town. I need some supplies. Who was in that car? Do you know?" I ask.
"No, we do not know who was in that car," the man says as he turns around and starts walking away.
"Hmmm. Then why are you looking for a man in a suit that may be wounded if you don’t know who was in that car?" I ask. Maybe I should keep my mouth shut and just mind my own business. However, I am curious about who the hell is in my house if the FBI is looking for him.
"Ma’am, sometimes it’s better not to ask so many questions. If I were you, I would just continue to town and mind my own business," the man says.
"How rude! I was just trying to be friendly, and I was just trying to find out if I could maybe help you with something. Anyway, have a good day. I am going to the town to get some supplies. I hope you find the man in the black suit," I say. The guy does not bother talking to me any further as his phone rings, and he answers it.
"We found the car, but Don Falco is nowhere to be found. We are going to search this whole area for him now," the guy says as he walks away. I don’t think he even cared if I heard his conversation.
Well, at least I have a name now. The guy in the cabin’s name is Don, and his surname must be Falco. The FBI is searching for him. I hope they don’t bring dogs. Although I don’t think the dogs will be able to trace him back to the cabin because it has been snowing heavily. Luckily, he was also on my sleigh. I have washed my sleigh. I always do. There is no blood on my sleigh as I used vinegar to wash away all traces of blood. Besides, he still had his jacket on, so there was not too much blood on the sleigh.
However, I don’t see these guys having any dogs. By the sound of it, it’s only these men who are going to look for Don Falco.
Well, I am not going to take any chances. I go to town, get all my supplies, and then I go the other way around back to my cabin. I am glad that they have not found my cabin, but my cabin is a little bit hidden in the woods. However, I am going to burn all his clothes. We will hide all the expensive things that he has on, like his watch and everything else. I’m going to dye his hair. He will have to wear some of my grandfather’s clothes. I have everything I need. I have hair dye and everything else. I cannot let the FBI find him now. I don’t know what he has done, and until I know if he is guilty or not, I am not going to give him up or hand him over to the authorities. I did hurry. I don't want them to find my cabin. I don't think they will because they went the other way. It might be because I told them I had not seen a man in a black suit, so they didn't go the way I was coming from.
