Chapter 84: The Breached Gate
The crypt entrance exploded inward.
It wasn't an explosion of fire but of rot. The stone archway turned to grey dust and collapsed under the weight of the horde pressing against it.
They poured into the cavern like a flood of nightmares.
Bone Wolves clattered over the rubble. Mud Wolves oozed down the walls. Glass Wolves reflected the dim emergency lights with a thousand jagged eyes.
The pack screamed.
The enforcers formed a phalanx in front of the civilians. They raised their guns and fired.

The bullets sparked against bone and vanished into mud. It was useless. You cannot kill an avalanche with a pistol.
