Chapter 73: Avalanche The ground beneath the enforcers screamed. It was not a metaphor. The rock actually shrieked as it tore itself apart. I watched the soldiers surrounding me. They looked down at their boots in confusion. The stone courtyard was rippling like water. "Secure the target!" the squad leader shouted over the roar of the wind. He reached for me.
