“Who’s they?” Eddie asked. Dr. Robbyns had pretty much given herself up at this point. All Eddie needed was for her to admit that it was Radcliffe and Cedric. “I won’t ask again. Who did you hire to get rid of my mother?” Dr. Robbyns knew it was too late to retract her statement. She lowered her eyes and let out a deep and heavy sigh.
“One of them was Cedric, the elder. I don’t know who the other man is, but he’s the one in charge. He promised me that once they got rid of June, Jeremiah would turn to me for comfort. But he never did. I didn’t expect Jeremiah to go feral as soon as June died—”
“She’s not dead,” Eddie said in a low growl.
