Caroline's POV I was in front of the mirror in my room, carefully applying makeup. I had not used it in a long time. The brush moved slowly across my eyelids as I prepared for lunch with Alex. Tyrone stood still by the door, arms crossed, guarding quietly. A loud bang came from the backyard. I jumped slightly, the brush pausing mid-air. “What could that be?" I thought. Another bottle broke, the sound sharp and clear. I put the makeup down quickly and rushed toward the door. “Tyrone, follow me,” I said.
