TOMAS’S POV
When we got to the small town that Miranda was now staying in, we went to look for her in the bakery she was said to be working in first but she wasn’t there. We never went in but when we asked the people that were hanging around the bakery they told us that Ms. Caroline who was the owner of the bakery had told them that she had given Miranda the day off because she wasn’t feeling well.
Of course I wondered if Miranda wasn’t really feeling well for real or she had just sued that as an excuse because she knew I was going to be coming for her. We had been apart from a while but surely the mate bond was still at work because I had never broken the mate bond.
