The rugged breathing from the two men were the only things Sophia could hear at the moment. Her eyes jumped from a confused looking Eric, still on the floor, to a furious Steven standing over his son.
“Wha-your girlfriend?” Eric’s grey eyes darted to Sophia before moving back to his father.
“You heard it correctly,” Steven did not spare him another look as his furious gaze turned to Orlando. “Where the hell were you?”
Orlando assessed the situation before turning to his boss, his gaze alert, “I am sorry, boss, it won’t happen again.”
“It better not! Get him out of here!” Steven turned to Sophia, his eyes dark. “Are you okay, baby?”
