Thankfully things have been calm the last couple of weeks. James hasn’t shown up again or even called or texted. I think he has finally gone. And with any luck, it will stay that way. Quinn seems less stressed and calmer, which is great.
We were off this weekend, and I have planned us a trip. Quinn has no idea. I have booked us a cabin at big bear lake. I managed to get one right on the lake. It is a beautiful wooden one with large ceilings, a massive log fire and a hot tub out on the balcony. The one I chose doesn’t have any other cabins close; the closest one is across the lake. We will have our privacy. It is less than a two-hour drive from where we are. We are leaving on Friday morning and will return Sunday night.
