Chapter 16 The bathroom door handle rattled. “Go away!” Isobel screamed at it before curling back up on the floor. There was a click, and Devlin opened it easy as could be. “You know, these things just have a little pin lock to release them.” He shut the door behind him and locked it again. She kicked at his ankle with her shoe and missed. Instead her shoe flicked off and skittered under the sink. He slid down to sit with his back at the door.
