CHAPTER FIFTY FOUR It was eight when we arrived back in town, a couple intentionally missed calls from my mum and Thomas on the screen of my phone. Now that I was here, it was easy to notice the dreadful tension hanging around town. People walked around, minding their own business; some rushing home in hurry while balancing their work suitcases, handbags and even groceries.
