Mira woke up with a start. When she opened her eyes and was hit by the sunlight that streamed into the room from the window, she took a sigh of relief.
Everything was just a dream. Of course it had to be because her mother was long dead, she died in a fire, her body was burnt and-- Mira closed her eyes, sighing, she wanted to turn around but felt the presence of someone behind her, strong hands wrapping around her waist.
Mira smiled and gently turned around to face him so she wouldn't wake him up. His face looked so peaceful while sleeping and less intimidating. The more she looked, the more she realize that he actually seemed... Gentle right now.
This was the first time she was getting the chance to access his face like this. She should make the most of it.
