I was snuggled up on the sofa when my parents came back. They had got the message from the school.
“Hey sweetie how you feeling?” my mum asked coming over and kneeling down in front of me.
“A little better thanks. Sorry about coming home in the second week of school.” I said trying to sound disappointed.
“It is OK sweetie, you can’t help not feeling well.” She said stroking my hair, kissing my forehead “Can I get you anything?” she added
“No mama I am alright thank you.” I smiled sweetly “I am gonna head up to my room.” I added.
