I had tracked the detective’s car through a tunnel just miles before the safe house. They came out of it top-up, sparks blazing from the metal on the pavement. Both the tunnel and the area where the car came to rest are without cameras.
Four men in black hoods dragged Anais and her father into a black van that continued Northbound. I lost them in the following traffic tunnel. It was like they just disappeared.
Sonny wasn’t even a suspect at this point in the kidnapping. He isn’t methodical enough to pull something like this off. Leaving me with Nikola and whoever his new partner is… and, of course… Callum.
