Varick's sarcasm broke the sudden tension between his son and the young Tyrian-eyed girl that so closely followed him in.
"You know I've never been good at babysitting," Godfrey returned, glancing at Aurora way, and not even bothering to pass a look at Jeriko before walking off.
Varick watched the nonverbal exchange between a seemingly flustered Godfrey the eye-avoiding young woman and took note of it before he referred to this Aurora Valentine. "And tell me, where is your brother dear-" Before he could finish the sentence, Jeriko entered the room. "Ah, there he is."
