Both he and Aurora had been trying to get Mags to open the door and let them in so that they could talk about what happened since the day it happened.
Yes, of course, they could have gotten into her room and they could have made her talk by force. They both knew and decided, however, that they had no right to force an explanation out of Mags right now. At least that was how Aurora was feeling at the moment.
