“Well, we are divorcing anyway, right? I won’t have to deal with the lies anymore,” she added after some brief silence.
“So soon?” he asked. He could not lose her because of just two stupid mistakes.
“Yes. Don’t you think that would be better for both of us?”
“But you-“
“Byron Powers. Who would have thought one day I’ll be having the only heir to the Powers as my son in-law?” Benjamin appeared, saving the situation. Somehow, Byron knew he needed to come up with a way to make her stay.
“And you must be Mr. McCann, the father to my beautiful wife,”
“Yes. Its so unfortunate we could not meet before your wedding to my daughter and instead we are meeting for the first time during my own wedding,”
“I quiet agree with you. My apologies Mr. Callaghan,”
