CHAPTER 31
John? Where had he heard that name before? It sounded painfully familiar and the worst part was that he feared it was not in a good way. He was too absorbed in his thoughts, trying to figure out the guy’s familiarity that he did not notice when Juliet made a move. The loud sound of Juliet’s palm connecting with the guy’s cheek resounded across the ballroom which was almost empty save for the few people finishing up on the last touches of decorations.
“What the hell Juliet!” John gasped in shock as he touched the spot where she had just slapped him. That had definitely not been the reaction he had anticipated.
“That is for cheating on me with my brother,” she spat then walked away, her heels clicking as she walked.
