A knock at the door shook me from my nervousness, even though Chase had done everything he could to make me feel better. Part of me thought he stopped my little show because he noticed how nervous I was. I couldn't confirm it though. Either way, I appreciated him even more.
Chase pulled away from me but only enough that I wasn't pressed up against him. When he moved away, I always felt cold.
