Spending hours trying to find something to wear was not what I expected. I finally settled on dark jeans and a white sweater. I was able to dig my dark winter coat out from the depths of my closet. “Mom, do you have a scarf I could borrow?" I asked. She tossed a blue striped one at me. She hadn't been feeling the best the last few days. A cold had been going around the office. “Thank you! I love you, feel better," I said and closed her door.
