Trent spent the day nursing a hangover and a sore heart. He could barely concentrate on all the work he needed to get done—figuring out inventory, payroll, and everything in between—and he finally decided to take a walk to clear his head.
One of the bonuses of entrepreneurship was the ability to set your own schedule, although more often than not, you were working way more than forty hours a week. Trent had weeks where he only went home to get some sleep before getting up early to return to his restaurants. Although he’d hired managers for each of his three locations, he still oversaw a lot of the daily operations. Perhaps it was micromanaging, but Trent wasn’t interested in looking the other way with his businesses that he’d poured blood, sweat, and tears into creating.
