Nikita knew that she could be jealous. Hell, she didn’t want her heart squeezing in her throat. But his answer only drew a grimace from her.
“Is it someone I know?” She asked, “I don’t think so tho. Apart from Tia, I’ve not met any other women here. Or is it a man?” She rushed out her question. The pain she knew she’d hear from the answer did nothing to curb her curiosity.
An awkward silence passed between them and Nikita couldn’t help but raise a brow at the sheepish look on his face.
“Can I not answer that?” Eldridge was helpless against her question. He couldn’t lie to her and he didn’t want to talk about his escapades all those years.
