"Do I have to be direct about it?" Cindy sniggers. "Well, I was being nice to save you some face. But since you insist on feigning innocence, there is no need for me to be considerate anymore." She folds her arms across her chest and looks at me with her chin raised. "How does it feel to be dumped?" She asks in a loud voice, making the question audible to the entire lounge.
I do not know what drives Cindy to confront me directly like this. A series of questions pop up in my head after hearing her words:
Why does she try to provoke me?
What makes her so sure that Al and Mia are together?
What does she gain by humiliating me like this?
Why does she think Al and Mia have gone missing together?
I cannot find the answers to these questions. But one thing I know for sure is that
