LEIGH I yanked the door open and confirmed that my senses were right. Ava was startled, she quickly spun towards her door. Her reaction shows she didn't expect me. And if so, then what is she doing here? "Ava?" I reached for her, pulling her back into my room. But the moment we were alone, she shoved me with all her strength and had her arms embrace her while she stepped back to the wall and watched me with panicked eyes. "What is this? What were you doing at my door then?" I gaped. "I—" She paused, blinking. "Ava, I missed you too. You can just say that if so. Although I don't get it." "You don't get what?" She retorted, taking a forward step that she immediately regretted. Terror stirs in her eyes, she nervously clasps her hands together and stares at me with broad pupils.
