I've been straining to ignore my trauma, thinking maybe if I pretended it didn't exist, I wouldn't have to deal with it. But the things we experience don't just vanish. They imprint and become part of us, saving themselves as memory we can't delete or rewind.
With Leigh here, I'd been making progress. He was the only person who could hush the noise in my head. His touch had a way of clearing everything out, scrubbing my thoughts clean like sorcery.
