Lacey was floating on a cloud the next day at school. Holidays were coming up, the competition had been postponed due to her absence and Jessica's disgust. Her father was willing to work on a relationship with her and Agnes was also promising to keep in touch. She wasn't naïve enough to think they would get back together but at least they were being civil to each other, which is more than she had dared to hope for. Life was definitely looking up and she wouldn't have to work as hard, her father promising to give her enough money to live off as she needed it so that she could continue her studies without overexerting herself.
She was almost dancing into her music class, for once the sniggers and rude remarks going completely over her head as Dante gave her a welcoming high five.
