The Drive to Vaughn’s place was shorter than I recalled, however it was still refreshing since it had been quite some time since I had been here.
During the ride, I was silent, allowing my thoughts to linger, which was potentially dangerous in a situation like this, yet Vaughn and I knew each other well enough that he didn’t have to ask. He knew to keep his distance in my moments like this, even if he was worried.
He knew that if I wanted to talk—to vent—that I would. It was how I always was. I never spoke up before I was ready. I never tried to expose myself to more emotional damage than what had already been done.
Still, it didn’t stop him from wondering; didn’t stop him from wanting to ask questions.
