Connor played his arm around Autumn "So, how did it go yesterday?"
"Fine, mom checked on me every five minutes and made sure that I got plenty of drinks."
"I'm sorry babe. I thought that it would be better than telling her the truth."
"It's okay Con. You did what you thought you had to do."
"Hey Con, Autumn!"
"Come on, let's get this day over and done with."
They walked over to their friends. "So, are you okay this morning, Autumn?"
"Yeah, thanks."
"You scared us, Autumn."
"Yeah, like when we went go-karting."
"I'm sorry guys. I meant to."
"It's cool Autumn. You're okay, that's all that matters."
The bell rang. "Come on, let's get going."
They all walked through the doors of the high school saying their goodbyes.
