Eric is the second son of Luke and Alisha Marshall, who become mentally sick after his accident, just one week before his marriage. So his parents started to worry about his wellness. At his grandfather's and relative suggestion, his family makes him marry Alice. Alice's stepmother sold her to his family for marriage to his family for money. Alice marries him without knowing his mental condition.

On her first night, she found out about his mental condition, but instead of leaving him, she accepted him and decided to help him recover his mental state.

While doing so, they fall in love with each other.
