Rory The silence was loud. Loud and tense but somehow I felt comfortable. I knew I was safe. For the first time in days I was safe. Shawn had driven us the whole way back to the pack house with me sitting in his lap. I wasn't sure how he managed to do it without wrecking but he wouldn't let me move. Everytime I tried to adjust myself, his hold would tighten or he would growl as if he couldn't bear to not have me in his lap. It was like a bad case of whiplash with him. My feet had never hit ground when we had gotten home either. He carried me up the front steps, through the foyer and down multiple halls. He even bypassed my apartments entirely. His bed was soft.
