I felt something in me snap into place tonight. She laid beside me asleep, her soft breaths the only sound I could hear. I ran my fingers through her hair and she nuzzled up to me in her sleep. The sight made me smile.
I couldn't sleep. I was too wired. These past couple of days have been a whirlwind. I almost lost my mate. For a second time. If I had just pulled my head out of my ass sooner, if I had just stayed by her side that night none of this would have happened. My thoughts cause my jaw to clench and my brows to furrow.
