“Dad!” Carolines voice that I had longed to hear held so much terror. I turned towards her and saw her huddled over the limp body of one of the Dark witches who had helped us. Seraphina and Sebastian were alongside her but Caroline's eyes and attention were elsewhere. I felt the warm tingle of my mate's hand grabbing mine and her terror and anxiety ran its way down our mate bond. Caroline was pointing towards the sounds of battle and my mate was trying to surge forward towards them.
