When I realized she wasn't in our bedroom I panicked. I knew she had shut me out but I didn't imagine she would move rooms. I needed to make this right and I would do anything to prove myself. I recalled knocking and sitting outside her door for so long that I had lost track of the minutes, or had it been hours? When she let me in the room a sigh of relief had flooded my system. I wanted to rush to her, I wanted to hold her. Just seeing that she was okay wasn't enough. I listened to every word she had said and I had to be honest, I agreed. Acting emotionally was going to lead to our downfall. I took her hand in mine and my heart jolted as she flinched when my hand touched hers.
“I won't hurt you..” I whispered and she looked down at her hands intertwined with mine.
“But you did”
