You know that feeling when you can tell you're being watched? Yeah that has me on high alert right now. I was suspicious when all signs of life besides the plants growing in the ground vacated the area but the absence of birds chirping, owls flying, smaller critters scurrying was alarming. It was complete and utter silence much like when there is a larger predator starting a hunt. I am a predator but it's never been this devoid of the sounds of nature around me. It's as if the wind itself was too afraid to create a breeze.
