Since leaving the jewelry shop, I couldn't deny the presence trailing behind Elena and I. That was why I had been on guard the whole time, even though I tried to act as normal as possible on the outside so that Elena wouldn't notice any abnormality. The mall, though not crowded, was still packed with people. To spot one suspicious aura from the sea of people was no different from finding a needle from the haystack.
There were fewer people inside the shaved ice shop than in the corridor, giving me hope to expose the lurking shadow. But the suspicious presence disappeared the moment we entered the shop. It seemed like it decided not to come in. This fact made me loosened up slightly but never let down my guard.
